Build your intercessory team and grow the prayer emphasis of your church by joining 100 other churches in this ongoing expression of united regional prayer. Daily prayer for the tri-state area has continued without ceasing, since February 1995.
Participating churches agree to do two things:
Adopt a day and time of the month to pray through The Lord's Watch Prayer Guide, and
Designate a Prayer Coordinator to communicate with intercessors
Each month your Prayer Coordinator will receive a devotional and prayer guide for distribution to your participating intercessors. Prayer requests cover regional, national, and international issues developed out of today's headlines and are centered around four themes:
Revival in the Church
Reconciliation between Churches and Races
Reformation of Society and
Reaching Out with The Gospel
When The Lord’s Watch began, the vision was to unleash a daily prayer movement that would transform the region. Looking around New York City today, it is indeed a different city. Crime has dropped precipitously, and continues to drop. New York City has gone from being the murder capital of the world, to being one of the safest cities in America of one million people or more. Mayors and police commissioners may take credit for this historic drop in crime, but we believe the heart of God has been moved to respond to all of our prayers.
